W S El Masri is a Clinical professor of Spinal Injuries at Keele University. He is an Emeritus Consultant Surgeon in Spinal Injuries Robert Jones & Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital – Oswestry. He served as the Chairman of BASCIS, as the President of International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS). He is a Trustee of the Institute of Orthopaedic R J A H Hospital, Oswestry. Also, he is the Founder Member and Chairman of Trustees SPIRIT Educational Charity in Spinal Injuries. Oregon, his Ph.D. in biochemistry / chemistry at Washington State University (WSU) and his Postdoctoral Fellowship at the C.H. Best Institute at the University of Toronto, Canada. He has been on the faculty of Vanderbilt University and the University of California at San Francisco. He is the Founding Director of the Center for Reproductive Biology at WSU and University of Idaho, which is the largest reproduction biology center in the world, with nearly 100 faculty. Dr. Skinner’s current research has demonstrated the ability of environmental exposures (e.g., toxicants) promote the epigenetic transgenerational inheritance (non-genetic form of inheritance) of disease phenotypes due to abnormal germ line epigenetic programming in gonadal development. Dr. Skinner has over 350 peer reviewed publications and has given over 350 invited symposia, plenary lectures and university seminars. Dr. Skinner is the Editor-in-Chief of the Encyclopedia of Reproduction and the Oxford publishing journal Environmental Epigenetics. He has done Ted talks and had documentaries done on his research with BBC Horizon, PBS Nova, Smithsonian, and France ARTE. Dr. Skinner has also founded several biotechnology companies.

John M. Baumann inspires and helps real people to live their lives to the fullest, and even embrace their life-changing event, with the goal of uncovering their life’s purpose (JohnBaumann.com). He is an internationally-recognized inspiring success speaker. In 2002, at 41 years old, working as the top attorney for a public company, John was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. From 2005 until 2014, John taught law at the College of Business at the University of Louisville to over 1,000 undergraduates. John was selected the Most Inspiring Professor. John wrote a book entitled, “Decide Success - You Dead Yet. John earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Cornell Law School after graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, School of Management. As an attorney, Mr. Baumann has passed the bar and practiced law in Texas, Louisiana and New Jersey before becoming General Counsel of a NASDAQ listed corporation headquartered in Kentucky.

Dr. David J. Dickoff is a neurologist in Yonkers, New York and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Mount Sinai Hospital and St. John's Riverside Hospital. He received his medical degree from Albany Medical College and has been in practice for more than 20 years.

Dr. Karl Sterling is a neuro-rehabilitation specialist and NASM Master Trainer based in Syracuse, New York, and is the creator of the Parkinson’s Regeneration Training ® education program.

Neuro-rehabilitation

Bachelor and Master in Clinical and Health Psychology at Aveiro University (Portugal) and internship in Coimbra Hospital University Centre. Later, worked as a psychologist and neuropsychologist with Professor Doctor Luis Maia. Also performed a research project in Biofeedback/Neurofeedback by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Is currently working with the Institution of Solidarity Projecto Homem / Braga in the additions field and Cognitive Neurorehabilitation. In parallel, also conducts outpatient consultations in various psychological disorders. Concomitantly, made several national and international communications in various Congress as Guest Speaker in the field of Neuroscience and Editor in several Scientific Journals and Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Psychology and Neuroscience (www.neuropsyjournal.com). Author of several articles in peer review journals. At the moment, is a PhD student in Neuroscience at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Salamanca – Neurosciences Institute of Castilla y León.

Research interests: Experimental Psychology, Neuropsychology, and Biological Rhythms, particularly in: Assessment and Neuropsychological Rehabilitation, Drug Abuse and Addiction, Behavioural Neuroscience, Behavioural Management, Biofeedback/Neurofeedback, Sleep Disorders, Pain Disorders.

Chrystalina Antoniades is an Associate Professor in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford, and a Lecturer in Medicine at Brasenose College. After finishing her Ph.D at the University of Cambridge, she moved to Oxford to take up a position at Clinical Neurology. She has set up her own research group, the NeuroMetrology Lab. Professor Antoniades researches Parkinson’s disease and, in her research clinics, uses a variety of quantitative experimental methods, based on precise measurement of subtle abnormalities of the speed and coordinate of various movements such as saccades (fast eye movements), motor control (such as finger movements) along with various aspects of gait control and cognitive dysfunction. She is the Chair of the Clinical Neurosciences Society for the department and has developed the Art and Neuroscience theme with Dr. Jim Harris at the Ashmolean Museum. She is passionate about engaging her research with the public. Her interest lies in examining the neurobiological relationship between visual perception and art and is the Organizer for the Brain Awareness Week for the Clinical Neurosciences in Oxford.

Professor Antoniades has won many national and international awards including the Vice Chancellors Award for public engagement. Recently she has also been awarded a grant from the University’s Public Engagement with Research Seed Fund to set up the Picturing Parkinson’s project. This project brings together artists, patients, and neuroscientists to bridge the gap between objective research into Parkinson’s disease and people’s lived experience of the condition.

Mr. De la Parra is also a member of the National Introducing Brokers Association and a part of the National Biofuel Board, (Alliance Program), also being the founder and former Board of Directors member of Astrum Fundación, an Advisory Board member of the Lifeboat Foundation, an Advisory Board member of the Future Worlds Center - Cyprus Neuroscience & Technology Institute (Senior TV Program), a Federated member of the International Longevity Alliance, and volunteered as Digital Strategy adviser at the Major Mouse Testing Program. Harish C. Pant received his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Physics from Agra University, Agra, India. His postdoctoral studies were conducted on the mechanisms of electron and ion transport in model membrane systems at the Department of Biophysics at Michigan State University. He joined the Laboratory of Neurobiology in the NIMH as a senior staff fellow in 1974 with Ichiji Tasaki where he studied the function of the axonal cytoskeleton in the squid giant axon. In 1979 he moved to the NIAAA extending his studies on the neuronal cytoskeleton and the effects of alcohol on its regulation. He moved to the NINDS, Laboratory of Neurochemistry in 1987 where he is presently chief of the section on Cytoskeleton Regulation. His laboratory is studying the mechanisms of topographic regulation of neuronal cytoskeleton proteins by post-translational modification, including the role of kinase cascades in normal brain and during neurodegeneration.

Mr Rafid Al-Mahfoudh is an appointed Consultant Neurosurgeon and Complex Spine Surgeon at the Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre and Royal Sussex County Hospital since 2015. He is senior lecturer at the University of Brighton and previously lecturer at the University of Liverpool. He is one very few surgeons with dual Orthopedic and Neurosurgical spine accreditation in addition to further specialist fellowship training in anterior skull base and minimally invasive neurosurgery in Adelaide and New York. He was the highest-ranking candidate in the PLAB exam for medical graduates. His training includes basic surgical training in Mersey Deanery followed by specialist Neurosurgery training in the Walton centre. The Walton Centre is the only hospital trust in the UK specializing solely in neurology, neurosurgery and pain services. This was followed by highly competitive subspecialist fellowships in orthopedic spinal surgery in Brisbane and further sub specialist training in anterior skull base, pituitary and minimally invasive neurosurgery in Adelaide and New York (Weill Cornell Medical College). He has extensive experience in treating the full spectrum of spinal disorders, pituitary tumors and endoscopic neurosurgical techniques. He has specialist interest in degenerative spine disorders, spine tumors, trigeminal neuralgia, hydrocephalus and brain tumors. Mr Al-Mahfoudh has in-depth medico legal experience starting early in his career. He has been Medico legal expert with an independent Medical Assessments Agency; Red Health) in Brisbane, Australia since November/2013, this included assessing and calculating the resulting disability according to the AMA guidelines. His interest in this area motivated him to complete the AMA Guides 5th Edition Training Course in Brisbane in June/2014. He has successfully completed a variety of both personal injury and medical negligence claims relating to spinal disorders in addition to neurosurgical claims. These claims have ranged from calculation of whole person impairment as a result of a claim, causation, medical negligence and expert opinion on potential claims.

Dr. Cahill studied Biology at University College Dublin, Ireland graduating in 1985 with her Batchelors degree. She received her PhD degree in Endocrinology in 1990 at the same institution. After a 3 year postdoctoral fellowship in the Dept. of immunology at the Babraham Research Institute, Cambridge UK, she came to the U.S. where she carried out molecular biology research at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute and several other Harvard affiliated hospitals including Massachusetts General Hospital. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Co-Directs the Neurochemistry lab at Massachusetts General Hospital with her colleague Dr. Jack Rogers. She has published widely in topics such as cancer and inflammation, diabetes and neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s Disease, bringing to the field her interdisciplinary background and new perspectives to this research area.

Dr. Barber completed her PhD and Oxford in Biochemisty and Master’s Degree at Harvard in Biology. At Harvard she was the first author on an internationally recognized publication on the T-cell phosphorylation of p56lck in CD4, CD8 and CD3, cited with her other publications hundreds of times along with her work at Oxford on the leukemia and AD marker, CD33. She was the first to discover and implement resveratrol as a treatment for PD while developing her in- home care program. She serves as a PALF Advocate for the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and received a 2021 grant to highlight the importance of the performing arts in stroke health while finishing another major healthy Victorian renovation, the second she has successfully nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. She previously co-curated and co-presented an art exhibit on the healing powers of art, art therapy and interior design in Chicago.
